WHO ITS FOR

FARM OWNERS

Benefit your program with:
  • Offer borders, leasers or students a fun experience without the overhead of trailering or hiring a clinician

  • Raise funds for your program by adding a school horse or facility fee that you determine

  • Take school horse or staff headshots as well as facility images for your personal advertising

  • Make an impression with horse sale photos that stand out

BOARDERS + STUDENTS

This is for you if:
  • You are looking for frame worthy photos of your horse but aren’t ready to book a private session.

  • There are at least 4 other horses or people at your location interested in a session

HOW IT WORKS

  1. READ ALL ABOUT IT!
View barnshoot gallery images and this information page to see whether a mini or an individual session with your horse is a better fit.

  2. IT’S A DATE <3
Reach out to me via the contact page about availability to schedule a session.

  3. GET INFORMED
Once booked, you will receive a PDF info sheet going over all the nitty gritty such as weather policies, handling payment, and how the session day will run. If any questions arise send them my way!

  4. SPREAD THE WORD
6+ weeks prior to your session date, or as far out as we are able to, you will be sent a digital flier (looks like this) that can be printed and hung in your barn to promote the upcoming shoot to your clients. It will provide session details and contain a custom QR code participants can use to learn more and register. While I provide promotional materials and am happy to answer any inquiries, it is your job as the session organizer (whether you are the farm owner or a boarder/student) to spread the word! Think about posting it in a team facebook group, where to hang the fliers, asking instructors to make announcements, etc.

  5. SIT BACK & RELAX
I will organize all form submissions, follow up with participants as needed and send a schedule out to everyone that has registered two weeks prior to session date. They will also receive a list of tips for preparing for a session with me to get the most out of their session.

If school horses are being used I will chat with you ahead of time about orchestrating their schedule as well.

  6. PHOTO DAY!
I plan to arrive 30-45 minutes early to the farm to scout the location for best lighting opportunities which may change throughout the day with the sun. If possible I will meet up with you or another staff member to talk through any areas of the farm that you find scenic, if there is an indoor or barn aisle that can be used for a black background and generally orient me around the property.

Participants are responsible for meeting at a specified location on your farm at the start of their session and will be reminded of the schedule on our shoot day.

  7. YOUR PHOTOS ARE READY!
After the barnshoot, having collected payment and emails from all participants I will email individuals a preview gallery within two weeks. Then they will be able to make their selection of images and then receive a link to a final gallery of high resolution digital files.
